Our seventh cruise with NCL, and this one was great! The balcony room was fabulous, with a great room steward. The shower was roomy (hard to believe)! Plenty to do on board, from bingo to shuffleboard, basketball, ping-pong, movies, great shows, gambling, etc... Great trip for those who can get laid-back. If you are uptight, stay on land, because there is no schedule on vacation. Ports were good, had to tender into two of them, but still had plenty of time in ports despite waiting to tender ashore. Worst thing about the cruise was the number of whiners who expected everything to be given to them for free. People who 'paid good money' for their cruise and therefore expected everyone around them to kiss their butts(selfish, soft jerks!). The cruise was relatively inexpensive compared to a land package and provided everything you could need for a week including good food, entertainment, and comfortable accomodations. Same extra expense items as any other cruise line. Very clean ship and well-groomed, attentive, courteous crew. Food was good, definitely plentiful, but lacked the dazzle of previous cruises. Nonetheless, I managed to put on ten pounds through the week! Our balcony stateroom was good. The best thing about it was being able to enjoy the view from the balcony while your spouse is getting ready for dinner. Plenty to do if you wish. Sports contests, Wii tournaments, BINGO, other diversions, but also quiet places on board to relax. The whole list of excursions was appealing, go to the Baths on Virgin Gorda. Beautiful beach and great swimming in an idillic setting. Fabulous boat and crew. Horror stories are from those who would bitch if someone hanged them with a new rope. If you can relax enough to enjoy the freedom of living on your own schedule in fantasyland for a week, you'll enjoy this cruise. If you or your spouse like to pick things apart, please avoid cruising, you'll ruin the trip for others!
