Just got off the Norwegian Dawn, 14 days back to back, Quebec City to Boston and back. Greatly disappointed in the Dawn. Our stateroom, 10th floor, was noisy, due to commercial space (spa) above. Constant noise from above, day and night. We were moved for the last 7 days to deck 11, but this room was even noisier (buffet above). Were afraid to complain again in fear of being moved to the engine room!.

The food was consistently bad. As frequent cruisers of Norwegian, we usually eat in the buffet. This cruise, the food in the buffet was inferior. Hot dogs and hamburgers every day, long overcooked and cold. Some days there were 6 curry dishes on the menu, and little else. The baked potatoes were consistently cold, in both dining rooms, as well as Cagney's. Soup cold, meat cold. We were served pressed turkey in the Aqua dining room for the Canadian Thanksgiving. It was horrible. Only one day were the meals in the buffet palatable, and that was lunch, on a shore day. Huge lineups for everything. Line up for lunch, out the door, and partly down the staircase, reason - one half of the buffet was closed. Line up to the theatre, despite being told to come early, the doors were not open. I know Norwegian can to better, but if they are cutting costs, we will not be back.

For the most part - bad. Breakfast OK if you took something being cooked in front of you (omelet, waffles). Anything laid out, poor. Lunch selection poor. Dinner selection worse. Chairs in the buffet are so small and flimsy that many were broken, and the tables so close together you can't get in or out. Dinner in one of the two "free" restaurants somewhat better. Paid extra to eat in steakhouse (Cagney's). Got plastic placemats, drinks came after appetizers, baked potato was cold, had to ask for more water, and ask for the sauce for the steak. The steaks were great, but not worth the extra money.

Our assigned stateroom was noisy, due to the spa above. We were moved to a different statement, it was nosier due to buffet above. Only 1 plug-in in the staterooms. it must accommodate camera chargers, cell chargers, curling iron, and C-Pap (breathing machine). If you get a balcony, pray no smokers on the adjacent balcony, or you can't use it, despite paying extra. Rooms were not as clean as I expected, especially if the ship recently renovated.

Typical. This ship tried to put too many activities in the same area, and you could not hear whatever you were attending.

Canada New England cruise offered great scenery, and we were lucky with the weather. Some stops not worth it, but that is common with most cruises.

Will not go back on the Norwegian Dawn. Other Norwegian cruises, on different ships, have been much more enjoyable, but not the Dawn. Hope this is a anomaly, and not going to become the norm due to some sort of cost cutting.
