There were many parts of this cruise that I liked, and many parts that I
disliked. When I first arrived to the port in NYC, everyone waited in a sitting
area for about 2 hours and then boarding took about an hour. We got on the boat
and had a safety drill which was rather quick, and then a few friends and I went
for dinner at the Aqua restaurant. That first night, the service was extremely
slow!
The next day was at sea and there wasn't much to do. The gift shop had nice
perfume/cologne and a cute worker named Mike-but that was about it. The people
at the Excursions Desk were happy to help plan fun for when we got to the
islands, (especially that gorgeous guy Christopher!)
The real fun on the boat didn't start until night fall. The entertainment in the
Spinnaker Lounge was pretty good but the workers in there were not very
friendly. The highlight of the night was always in the Dazzles lounge, where
that wonderful singer Dave performed like no other. Kerioke at 10:30 was always
fun to watch-especially for the kids.
PortCannaveral was cold and windy. Enough said. Miami was nice to walk
around but still a little chilly. Nassau was great and there was so much to do.
Great Stirrup Cay was crouded with cruise people but most were having a good
time on the beach & in the water.
The final day at sea was long and quiet. They played "Seabiscuit," in the
Stardust Theater which was WONDERFUL!
The Disembarkation was long and slow.
Overall it was a nice cruise. Good food & restaurant. Be sure to visit the Blue
Lagoon restaurant which is open 24 hours and is very popular with the teens. The
staff was mostly pretty good and, again, the entertainment in Dazzles was
excellent. It was a fun cruise and a well spent vacation.
