Itinerary: Florida, Bahamas
Just returned from the NCL cruise out of NYC to Florida and the Bahamas.
Overall, I would give this cruise a 7.5
My family (husband and 2 boys) had a great time leaving from NYC without the
hassle of flying to Florida. Our rooms were mini-suites on Deck 11 and they were
maintained meticulously.
My 'complaint' really has nothing to do with NCL. My problem were the other
passengers. I guess for some of them, this was their first cruise or they just
don't understand propriety. Many (at lest 30%) of the men came to dinner in
ragged, old jeans, with short sleve shirts (no jacket) displaying tattoos.
Additionally, there were numerous fat people. I mean really, large people who
looked uncomfortable walking on a ship.
I know this sounds snobbish, but I am a middle-aged, healthy woman who likes to
make a good impression in public, and felt that many people dressed like they
were going to the Mall.
I think this is what happens when cruises get less expensive and people do not
invest (or just buy) some decent travel wear.
