My husband and I had a GREAT time aboard the Norwegian Dawn! The ship is gorgeous and the crew works very hard to make sure that everything is the way it should be.

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and did not want to take too many excursions since we wanted to do our own thing. We did take the alligator airboat ride in Cape Canaveral, Florida and saw 7 alligators. We also got to try alligator meat-and it does taste like chicken... It was good excursion to take because it was only 2 hours long. When we got back, the ship was pretty empty because most people went to Universal and Disney, so we had great spots by the pool.

In Miami we took a cab by ourselves to South Beach and Ocean Drive. It was cheaper than the ship sponsored excursion and we were on own own schedule. Our cab driver gave us lots of great information about the city and the ride only cost approximately $17. South Beach was BEAUTIFUL!

Great Stirrup Cay was absolutely stunning also. We brought our own snorkel equipment and underwater camera with us. We got these great pictures of the fish and the coral. The only downfall on the island is that it gets crowded. You have to get on one of the first boats to the island in order to get good chairs on the beach. We had this obnoxious family next to us-but even that couldn't ruin the experience.

Nassau was the last port we visited, and we did not have much time there. It was our least favorite port in that it was not a very nice city. We started to walk to the Atlantis and ended up turning around and shopping right at the port. We did find some great souvenirs there though.

My husband and I would definately go on the Dawn or Norwegian Cruise lines again. The free-style cruising was great because you got to choose when and where you went every night to eat. Overall, the food was an 8 out of a 10. Our favorite restaurant was Salsa, a Tex-Mex restaurant. Their fajitas were out of this world!

I would highly recommend this ship to anyone. It leaves out of NYC and the views of the skyline were great. We were lucky to have great weather all week, but even if we hadn't there is so much to do on the ship-you'll never be bored. So if you get the chance and are looking for a new ship with great entertainment, beautiful sites, and a great crew, check out the Norwegian Dawn. You won't be disappointed!
