This trip was for our honeymoon, and it honestly could not have been any better.
The ship was beautiful, the food was fantastic, the service was even better, and
the entertainment was outstanding. We attended at least one show a night (most
nights we went to 2 shows), and we danced at Spinniker, laid out by the pool,
and did just about everything you can imagine while on board.
The "Freestyle Daily" was great, it easily explained the next day's embarkation
procedures, and gave you the day's schedule that was very easy to understand.
The shows were great, and nothing overlapped, so you could go to everything you
wanted.
As for the excursions, each one got better and better. In Port Canaveral, we did
the NASA Up Close tour which was great, then in Miami, we just took the BB
Hopper to South Beach and enjoyed that for the day. Then the real fun
started......Great Stirrup Cay. Wow! You are in water up to your chest, and you
can see your toes (and the fish swimming around them!) When we got in the water
and saw how clean it was we decided we had to go snorkeling. What a great
decision, we loved that. As for being crowded, the main section of the beach
was, so we went to the further beach which was almost exclusively to us. For
some reason almost nobody walked over there and it was easy to get a chair and
umbrella. There was no line at the BBQ buffet when we went over there and
everything was just perfect.
That afternoon we arrived in Nassau, and we got off the ship and walked around
the shops near the pier. We had fun there, but the most fun started in the
morning when we went over to Paradise Island to see the Atlantis. That was
beautiful and went great too. We took a cab there and back, and they were very
easy to take, and the drivers seemed very happy when I gave them a $2.00
tip....it seemed like they didn't get them too often.
In summary, we wish the trip had not ended. It was as perfect a
vacation/honeymoon that we could have imagined. We loved our room and balcony
and honestly can't imagine taking another cruise without being back on
Norwegian...and we would love to be back on the Dawn again. I don't know if this
is allowed, but I posted photos from the cruise on my site and feel free to
check out how beautiful it was.... words just can't explain it.
