This was a great cruise. The ship is very modern with lots of great facilities.
The food in the main restaurants was very good. Traveling with a 5 month old I
liked the idea of freestyle cruising, we found that if you went to the Venetian
restaurant, which is the largest restaurant on the ship we never had to wait for
a table for any meal. We ate at only one specialty restaurant Salsa, the food
was ok but not great I thought the food in the main restaurants was much better.
The staff on board were fantastic, very friendly and very helpful. The ports
were not all that impressive we stayed on board at Cape Canaveral (we did see
the space shuttle launch) and at Miami. The private island is the same as most
other cruise lines, beach, bbq and ocean. We arrived at Nassau on Thursday
night, and left on Friday morning. The one problem I found is that it did not
give you a lot of time to explore the island, especially with a baby. The other
issue with the boat is that there is really only one major pool which on sea
days did get a little crowded, but it was not as bad as I thought it would be.
I would defiantly cruise on the Dawn again though, I love going spending time on
the boat, enjoying the food and all the facilities. It was also great being able
to cruise out of New York so no flying to the boat.
