Norwegian Dawn Cruise Review

NCL, Norwegian Cruise line
Norwegian Dawn
7 Day Eastern Carribean

Mark

Age: 40
Occupation: Firefighter
Number of Cruises: 5
Sailing Date: October 19th, 2005

My wife, parents and baby son sailed out of New York on Norwegian Dawn on October 19th. We had been on Norwegian before (the Sea) And did not like either the ship or the company. Only reason we went NCL this time was they were the only cruise line not to charge full price for our baby. We found the crew to be very friendly, warm and very caring. We did not like however, the Cruise Director, Ricky Matthews. We found that he tried way to hard to be funny and ended up looking like a bafoon! We found the food to be dull and not very good as compared to other cruise lines we have taken. The buffet seemed to be the same thing every other day! Ship is starting to show it wear inside. Service in the main dining room was extremly slow and took awhile for food to be delivered. My wife and I are both Lattitudes members. On our last NCL cruise we sent a letter of concerns to the company and they never even bothered to respond. This will be our last cruise with NCL and would highly recommend Royal Carribean!
