This was my first time sailing on NCL, and was a little skeptical about them. I have mainly with Celebrity and Royal Caribbean but was I suprised....The cruise line is WONDERFUL!!!! Even though the ship is older she does not show her age....best way to travel through the Panama Canal (the first time we did it was on a large cruise ship) her size made the transit more interesting and you got to see more.

THE SHIP
Is a wonderful smaller ship with excellent facilities, although not every staircase goes to each deck, other than that she is a "Dream".

THE CABIN
We had an outside stateroom on the Promenade Deck, and was spacious with a sitting area for watching TV and a curtain that you could use to seperate the bed area. Cabin was always kept clean - As a matter of fact people are always cleaning - never a dirty area.

THE PUBLIC ROOMS
All intimate rooms. Casino was spread out nicely and never over crowded due to layout. All the restaurants were excellent, food is not gourmet but very satisfying. My favorite restaurant was the sports bar that had a buffet and we ate outside on the balcony area. Theatre is good more of a lounge set up than theatre but was very entertaining. Great feature was the wrap around deck on promenade, very opened espically in the back of the ship, great views.

STAFF
At first they were not the nicest people going but then we found out it was their first sailing and by the middle of the first week they were all settled in and were very nice.

Would sail NCL again, as a matter of fact booked on their Hawaii cruise at the end of May 2003.

NCL thank you for a great experience....Freestyle cruising is a wonderful option!!!
