Beautiful ship with good and plentiful (not great) food and excellent steward and dining room service. Very poorly organized for initial boarding. After waiting in line for about 2 hours we were finally told to just go to the cabin and register later. Disembarking at ports in route was generally a mob scene with no organization. They cannot cope with the number of passengers with one dock exit and one exit for tenders. The Norwegian crew other than stewards, dining staff and entertainment staff are mystery people and generally unfriendly. Food and service in Bistro Restaurant was excellent.
The passengers were generally much older than we have encountered on other cruises. Quite a few were handicapped in one way or another which contributed to the embark/disembark problems. Some form of illness was all over the ship – flu like diarrhea and vomiting. At least two thirds of the people we met were infected at one time or another - including both myself and my wife.
Entertainment was pretty good but they censored a young comedienne for being too risqué - which was unnecessary as she used no bad language but quite a bit of sexual innuendo. Should not have been a problem with the age group on board. A simple announcement would have sufficed.
In summary, the cruise was nice but very poorly organized. The ship was too big (small ports) for the route.
They 'nickel and dime' you for everything - $3 for a pint of water. We will not travel again on NCL.
