This being our third cruise, we were both pleased and disappointed with certain aspects of our 8 night journey.
Our first cruise (late 70's) was with NCL, and although the accommodations were somewhat larger than our cabin from back in the 70's, we were disappointed in the size of the shower stall. We wrongfully assumed that when the cabins were designed for the Dream, they would have made the shower stalls larger. As small as they were, we still managed to deal with this small inconvenience.
Our cabin steward, waiter, and busboy were absolutely wonderful!!! They were polite, courteous, and very prompt whenever we asked them for something. In fact, we found out towards the end of our cruise that this cruise was our busboy's first week on the job. He gets an A+ for a job well done.
The quality of food varied from night to night, but overall, it was pretty good. With all the food that's available during the course of the day, NCL always included a 'healthy' meal at dinner. This was a welcome change for when you wanted a full meal, but didn't want that overstuffed feeling afterwards.
Our biggest complaint was the constant rocking our ship did during the ENTIRE cruise. Having been on two other cruises before this one, we were familiar with the amount of rocking a ship typically does, even in choppy waters. But it seemed there was an excessive amount of rocking from portside to starboard side, even when we were docked in calm waters at the ports of call.
Overall, it was a good cruise. But the next cruise will definitely be on Royal Caribbean which we were on for our second cruise.
