This cruise was supposed to be a honeymoon for me and my wife. We had planned well in advance for the time off and paid good money for this cruise, which was by far the absolute worst vacation experience we had ever encountered. I wish I could pin point just one flaw with NCL...but to tell you the truth it was everthing! customer service was terrible. Their employees do not smile and do not care about making your vacation a good one. The ships activities were a huge disapointment unless you can stomach bingo everyday and seminars on "irritable bowel movements". The entertainment was something I would expect to see at a high school talent show, not a major cruise line. The food was nothing special and their buffets usually featured leftovers from the previous day. The fitness area was terrible. Their workout space was approxiamtely two 10 x10 rooms with outdated equipment...and this is for 2000 people. The shore excursions themselves were nice. My wife and I enjoyed the ports, but NCL prior to the shore excursions packs everyone in the same room to wait for your bus.
All in all My wife and I were shocked that a cruise line that operated like this could still be in business. We literally felt like we had been robbed of our vacation. We will NEVER waiste our time or our money again with this cruise line. We even spoke with other cruise takers during our cruise and they said the exact same thing.."what a nightmare!". And to show you how oblivious NCl was to all of this, during the entire cruise they had tables positioned throughout the ship trying to sell you future crusies. NEVER AGAIN!!
