Overall not a bad experience, not really for younger crowd or singles though. The service was the highlight and the quality of food was to be expected. Not digging how NCL promotes itself when they are not capable of filling those expectations.

I thought the best food was in Mama's Italian restaurant - service there was impeccable, and the desserts delicious. The Garden Cafe was a joke - especially the Chocoholic buffet, it was just disgusting. There were just different stations with the same things, the desserts looked worse than the ones made by EZBake or something. We took two plates of different cakes and didn't finish even one of them (the cakes not the plates). It was like they used more flour and gelatin than actual chocolate when making the desserts. The other dining rooms like Tsars and Azura weren't bad, I didn't expect much since it's unlimited and at price we paid, I think the food was quite good. We had a great time at Blue Lagoon, service there was awesome and food was pretty good. Room service was always fresh!

We upgraded our room upon seeing our Obstructed View room on Deck 8 - we upgraded to a Deck 10 balcony. It's just extremely small for three people with their own luggage. The rooms were clean and in pretty good condition - though towards the last few days they started some kind of construction on the room next to us and it was extremely loud and unbearable.

They were geared towards an older generation and families - which I can understand. But the activities weren't that interesting. The Cirque Bijou or circus show that they have is really amateurish. They have three different things going on at the same time, you can't even see what's going on because two of them are spinning above your heads and you're just worried that they'll fall. The dancing was totally uncoordinated and the music was a mess just totally bad elevator music, I don't expect a world-class show, but I expected something watchable, not something that makes me want to leave the theater. The singing was off key and uninteresting, I guess making the guy speak in a French accent was supposed to be a good touch but I couldn't even understand what he was saying...

The comedian magician was hilarious and quite interesting.

The game room they have is limited in the games that are available, and they don't keep the decks of cards or puzzles together in one piece. We had 3 decks of card that were ALL mixed up (and we actually tried to fix them but cards were missing...) We started a puzzle and realized that there were THREE different puzzles mixed up in that ONE box. It's ridiculous!

Traveled with friends, we are all under 30. Service was great, we kept reading about bad service but it seems that some customers are just sour faced and expected to be treated like queens. Everyone on board was friendly, though some of them don't seem extremely happy I don't blame them (we spoke to quite a few of the employees and they are all on the ship for 9 months away from their friends and family). We made friends and received great service.

Some of the prices on the ship were ridiculous like the 18% auto-gratuity. I believe 15% is more than enough and if we feel like the service was great, I will tip more. The drinks weren't expensive (compared to what you pay in Manhattan) and they didn't go light on the alcohol either.

There wasn't much to do, we spent a lot of the time walking around and hanging out in our room and going to a few activities. The game shows were quite amusing and we had fun.

Coffee was definitely better if you paid for it, which we did every day.
