This was our third cruise (First and last with NCL) and by far the worst vacation I have ever been on. I will NEVER sail with this cruise line again. The service was awful. The crew was very rude and unfriendly. The ship has not been maintained at all. The food was horrible which really shocked me. I have a family of four so of course we looked for value, but it is not worth the money at all. I would not go on this cruise again even if I won it as a prize and all expenses were paid. I plead with other families to take this to heart to avoid your family's dissapointment. The food buffets were horrible. The food was always cold even if you were the first in line. The dining rooms weren't much better. We never got out of the dining room under an hour and a half. The kids meals would come at least a half hour before the adults which made the meal miserable for the children that were ready to leave. The service was horrible. You would think that we had offended our waiter by asking for a glass of iced tea and then it took 30 minutes to get it. One night a gentleman in our party was told that he could not enter the dining room because he was wearing a pair of khaki dress shorts with loafers. I for one love my jeans but how do they look any better in a dining room than a pair of dress shorts. That kind of threw the whole Freestyle Cruising thing out the window for me. Our stateroom was very cramped but we managed. There were not enough life vests in our cabin and it took over two hours to get the correct amount. Our friends that had a cabin next to us did not have a safe the entire week. They called reception every day and were told that someone would be bringing one. They never received one and ended up having to put things in our safe. The seas were very rough and the boat rocked the entire week. I know that the cruise line can not be blamed for this so I have tried to get past this There was an awful creaking noise in our cabin the whole time that kept me awake at night. Of course, no one ever addressed this problem after it was reported either. The water in the bathroom had a brownish tint to it. There were very few onboard activites. If you don't like bingo or show tunes (like myself) you had nothing to do. We were not able to make one of our ports because of the rough seas and there were no more onboard activities planned. The kid's corner was a joke. It was one small room for everyone. Children were not divided into age groups even though they should have been. My nine year old pratically babysat another three year old any time he went. He should have been paid. It was not a secure environment at all. If my son were younger he would have never been left there. They have arm bands that the program's crew are supposed to place on and remove from your child. I saw several children leave without their arm band being removed. My friends child walked out with his on as well and went back in and they never even noticed.
