This was our first cruise.(My wife and I) Overall we had a great experience with
NCL. The staff was great. They were always there when we needed them but they
were not on top of you every second. The food was excellent. We ate at the
breakfast buffet everymorning because there were made to order omelet's,
waffles, and crepes. There was also a full buffet from anything from cereal,
pastry, fruit, eggs, and even salmon and herring. Lunch and Dinner we chose to
have a sit down meal in one of the restaurants. We kept returning to the Seven
Season restaurant because the view was great and the service was exceptional.
Although the service in all the restaurants was great. I do think the food
portions are smaller than what we are use to here in the states, but by the time
you ate soup, salad, pasta, an entree, and dessert you were definitely more than
full. The cruise director (Pedro)and his staff definitely tried and succeeded to
get the guests involved in the cruise. (I competed in the miss Norwegian Majesty
completion, and dressed up like one of the village people and danced to the
YMCA) There were contests to compete in, dances to be learned, theme nights to
dress up to, and of course BINGO. The drinks were average price. Same as we pay
here. Its about $3.50 for a beer and $6.00 for a mixed drink. Overall our
experience was great we had the best time for the first six days. Our ship hit
rough seas coming back to Boston, MA, and it took us an extra 22 hours to get
home. The cruise staff helped in anyway they could. They scheduled extra
activities, carried your plates to you table if you were eating at the buffet,
or even to your room. Anything you needed they helped with. We enjoyed our
cruise and our experience. I would recommend this cruise to all. The great thing
to me is that we spent four days in port in Bermuda. You could really explore
the island and not worry about a time schedule. The island is beautiful and
everyone is nice. I played golf and the course was excellent. Taxis are a little
expensive but its is better than the bus. They tell you about different things
around the island and whets going on. We also went to Hawking Island on an
excursion called don't stop the carnival. There was live music a great BBQ
buffet dinner and open bar. The price was definately worth the experience.
Overall the cruise was great, and would be a nice trip for all.
