Alice Persons
Age: 52 I just read a positive review by a person on the same exact cruise and am amazed. I thought this cruise was disappointing. The crew was great, but the passengers were not. There were far too many smokers and one woman kept smoking in the hallway outside our suite even though it was against the rules. The entertainment on board was awful - like the worst high school musical you ever had attend. The ship was shabby and not very clean. Definitely needs an overhaul. Prices in the stores on board, and the jewelry for sale, were way too high, with very few bargains. The library was not open during stated hours. The casino and disco and bars were all far too full of cigarette smoke. There were a lot of really, really overweight people on the ship who monopolized the hot tubs and swimming pools. The food at the buffet was only fair. My parents' suite had numerous problems - a window you could not see out of, a leak from the window onto the carpet, a toilet that flushed itself without warning, and a burned out light bulb that was never replaced despite repeated requests. Being almost 24 hours late coming back was bad - a lot of people (and crew) were very tired from not being able to sleep in rough seas, and seasick, and we could not make phone calls to let people know that we were late. Both my husband and I missed a full unplanned day of work and could not even let our bosses know until we got to Boston. My parents missed their flights home and had to pay $500 extra to get home on Monday instead of Sunday. Now, Bermuda itself is lovely and I would go back there. Next time I would fly and stay on the island. I do NOT recommend this cruise. Ask a Question About NCL, Norwegian Cruise Lines
