We were very disappointed in this cruise. The freestyle dining is not what it is
made up to be. We often waited an hour and a half to eat. The ship is clean but
old and the rooms are very small. It took two days to get the staff to move our
beds together (we could have done this ourselves but were told to let them do
it.) The ship was very rocky leaving Charleston all the way to the Keys. We did
not feel informed on the ship. There were few instructions as to where the
different dining areas were and how to access them. We were on for Thanksgiving
and Thanksgiving dinner was planned for the evening that we would be in Key
West, so that you would not be on the ship fo the main meal. No midnight buffet
(a chocolate buffet was held one night). The internet cafe was in the smoking
area and if you did not smoke you became seasick from the smell. We did meet new
friends and had a great time with them but we will probably not use this ship
again. Many many people complained about the amenities. The food was so-so. If
this is your first cruise you will be happy. if it is your second or greater you
will be dissatisfied with this ship. We were told that it will be put out of
commission in a year or so. Our friends had a leaking toilet that took two days
to fix. Could not get into the Caymans for rough seas and were allotted only
11.50$ each for port costs (come on!)
Entertainment was superb. Too bad that did not make up for the other problems.
It took an hour and a half to get off the ship for Key West at 3 in the
afternoon to return by 10 pm.
