We chose the majesty because it went out of Charleston, S.C., which is only about a two hour drive. This was my first experience on NCL and probably my last. I have been on 8 other cruises on several different cruise lines, but I have to say this was not a good experience. I will say that the people working aboard ship were very nice and our cabin stewards were very good, but it ends there.

The majesty is an old ship, it has very small rooms and the beds were not too good. The food in the dining room was fair but the food on the top floor and on deck was not good. They didn't have much of a variety of food and the taste was not very good. This is my first experience with freestyle cruising and we had to wait for almost an hour for dinner on one night.

I guess I prefer the more tradition cruising and have my table ready at a certain time. The main problem we had was that it was spring break (we didn't realize this at the time), and the ship was full of college kids. They were drinking most of the time. They took over the hot tubs and pool area. The worst part was that they partied all night and we were kept awake with there music playing loud and yelling and screaming outside our room. We called security several times. It would stop for a while, but would start up again, so we just had to put up with it. I don't recommend taking this cruise during the spring break season. there were so many things that I didn't like about this cruise that I would not recommend it to anyone.
