My husband and I have cruised on RCCL and Carnival before and were anxious to try NCL. My only concern was that this was a smaller ship and it was also a 1988 ship. Our first cruise was on one of RCCL's older ships though and it was great! I have to say NCL's Sea exceeded our expectations!! The ship had been recently renovated apparently because everything looked new, polished, and extra clean. The greatest thing about this ship was the crew. I have never met a friendlier crew or one that seemed so intent on having this be the best vacation for you ever! The cruise director "Kevin" and his staff (Pedro, Roberto, Ruby, Romeo, and last but definitely not least "ROXIE") were the greatest! The wait staff in the dining rooms was wonderful!! But I must say I preferred the Four Winds because it was slightly smaller and the service seemed a little more attentive there. All of the waiters we had were wonderful but most notable was Patrick "Nice". The wine waitress Manuela A. was also wonderful and we enjoyed our talks with her. Our room, which was upgraded from a porthole to a window view on the 7th floor was fantastic as was the cabin steward who took care of us!! The food was wonderful, the pool was great, as were all of the on board activities, and the shows were superb!! Dancers and Singers were first rate and the comedian that we saw "James Michael (Ding-a-ling)" was beyond funny. I do not know when I have ever laughed that hard and he is also a fantastic magician to boot. I have enjoyed all of my cruises but this one was definitely the best value for my money. We will definitely cruise NCL again and next time as "Latitudes" Also a special thanks to Tom for all the helpful hints on shopping and such!! GREAT JOB GUYS!!
