If you have sailed before on any other line, please be aware that the Norwegian Sea is a very old boat. Compared to Royal Caribbean, the age is very evident. We were disappointed with the lack of a no-smoking policy on board which prevented us from enjoying the late night activities. People were smoking all over the ship. If you have any issues with smoke, I do not recommend this line.

The sail through the Gulf of Mexico both days at sea was very rough. the older ship does not accommodate for rough seas very well at all. the food was plentiful, but only average in quality. We were treated to some excellent "John Henry" BBQ one night and 600 people were served! the entertainment was fun and we had great traveling companions which made our cruise a happy occasion.

If it's your first cruise, enjoy. If it's not your first cruise, enjoy the destinations of Cancun, Cozumel, Belize and Roatan. the boat itself is not a "destination boat". The itineraries are changing in April and this line will no longer offer the 4 ports of call, which is too bad.
