Just returned from a one week cruise on the Norwegian Sky. We had a wonderful
time. The ship is beautiful and immaculate. The staterooms were small but
extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were very courteous and available to
help in any way needed. The food was excellent. The garden cafe buffets were
very good with a large variety a dishes, delicious 24 hour pizza was available.
The main restaurants offered elegent 5 course meals. We did not dine in any of
the three restaurants which require a cover charge because the food was so good
in the other restaurants, we did not see any reason to. The entertainment was
superb. The Jean Ann Ryan group was great as well as all other entertainment
provided. There is more to do than you could ever possibly manage unless you
stayed awake 24 hours a day. We took 4 shore excursions. All were good. The
excursion in St Lucia. "Land and Sea to Fond Doux" was the best and I recommend
it. My one complaint would be that the tours were arranged on a tightly timed
schedule and they usually got started late. Therefore, you spent the entire trip
trying to catch up. We felt very rushed and feel we missed some sights as a
result. We found that you could make your own arrangements with taxi drivers at
the dock. Not only was this cheaper, but you could make your own arrangements
pertaining to where you wanted to go and how long you wanted the trip to last.
We hired a taxi driver in St Kitts for $16.50 per person. He drove us around the
entire island. He gave us much info on the island and was able to answer any
questions that we had. He took us to the Batik factory, several beaches and to
the old fort. He would have taken us any where we wanted. I would definatley
cruise on the Norwegian Sky again. Would like to cruise with them later in 2004
when it begins it's Hawaiian itinerary.
