This was our second voyage on the Norwegian Sky. Our first was about a year ago,
and my favorable review of that trip is still here at this web site for all to
see. Unfortunately, a lot can happen in a year, and this latest experience was
nothing short of a nightmare. The so-called 'freestyle cruising' on this trip
featured the worst dining experience we have ever had anywhere, marred not only
by long delays in being seated, but by slow and inattentive service, and poor
quality food in both the Four Seasons and Seven Seas restaurants. There was
almost a total absence of shipboard activities, a large number of slot machines
had been removed from the casino, and the inventory in the duty-free shop was
very low. Few of the NCL employees aboard seemed to even care about the
problems. This ship is now in the process of being re-named 'The Pride of
Aloha', a U.S. flagged vessel. If the quality doesn't improve dramatically, I
feel that it will be a source of embarassment for NCL, and a poor example of
what a U.S. ship should be. Good luck NCL.
