We took the 4 night cruise leaving from Miami. We stayed at the LaQuinta Inn near the airport and they offered a free shuttle to the port. This was very unexpected yet very much appreciated. The check in process was very easy, just make sure you have all your documents. Have what you need with you as a carry on; it took a while to get luggage and our five year old insisted on waiting in our state room for her swim suit. If you don't plan on drinking much alcohol or soda bring your own case of water and packet mixes to have what you like. This was a great idea when going ashore. Our kids loved the programs suited for their ages 15, 5. They went to their respective groups after dinner and had a great time. We were a little disappointed that there wasn't any place to dance until later in the evening. We saw the audience participation activities and the comedian.

We ate all of our day time meals at the buffet, The selections seemed to be varied at lunch with the staple of burgers and hot dogs. Breakfast seemed to be the same selections everyday although there was enough that you could have something different everyday. I had read reviews that the buffets were crowded. I did not find this to be true. The main buffet line would get about 8-10 deep but we would just start at a different location. The omlette line was the only one that seemed to take a while. The food at the buffet was good. The food at the palace dining room was very good. We had the tortelini, turkey scallopini, turf and more turf, all were very tasty. We had great service the first night (Tue) we ate there and slow service the second night (Thu). We ate at Cagney's on Wednesday night and that was fabulous food and service. We had a 15 minute wait on Tuesday night at the main dining hall. We liked the choice of free style dining so we could eat at dinner time and not too late for our kids.

Our stateroom 7109 was fine. It was designed to sleep four with a bunk and a pull out sofa bed. Once the sofa bed was pulled out there was no way to get to the bathroom except over the bed. We didn't pull the bed out, our five year old fit on the couch just fine. The water in our shower varied quite a bit, be careful with the kids it doesn't get too hot.

The activities on board for the kids were great. They loved to go to their clubs. There was enough to do except for dancing as I mentioned earlier. A previous cruise had a dance floor and lessons most nights.

The only excursion we planned was not available: the glass bottom boat on Grand Bahama. We decided to go to Atlantis on our own. It was very difficult to see much of the resort without getting a pass. Find out a head of time what you will have access to. The resort is very large and easy to get lost in, not good if time is limited. We walked to the beach going around a few hotels. I recommend walking back to Atlantis to get a taxi. The ones at the public beach nearby may take a while to fill up. We realized we could sit there for 15 minutes or more and decided to go back to Atlantis, the taxi drivers were yelling at us to get back in, we used the five year old and the bathroom as our excuse and they were more understanding. At Great Stirrup Cay we went snorkling. We should have made sure our kids wanted to give it a try before we rented equipment. They didn't use the equipment long enough to make it worth it, The water is very shallow for most of the cay. The beach is crowded, get out there early if you want a chair close to the action.

Overall we had a good trip. The staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.
