The ship was very nice and in good condition. The crew was mostly young and pleasant and helpful.

The food was the main reason I chose a cruise over a land vacation. My past cruise on Carnival was not the best due to too many children onboard and lousy ports of call at Key West and Cozumel.

The food on the Norwegian Sky was skimpy and of cheap quality. The cuts of meat were thin, small and insulting. The lobster was tiny and no good. The steaks and prime rib were cut so thin they were tasteless. However, the appetizers and bread were very good. The desserts were small and just OK. I was very disappointed with the food. The buffet was about the same..

The room was extremely comfortable and clean. The mattress was wonderfully firm and slept great.

I do not like being entertained but the on board activities were OK. I prefer to spend time reading and relaxing on board.

The excursions were nice. I just went onshore and walked around a bit at Freeport and Nassau. The private island on Thursday was too crowded and the sand was fake and must have been brought in to make the island have a better beach. Once all the hundreds of people got on the beach and in the water, all the fish took off and made snorkeling useless. I left and went back on the ship for lunch. I heard the hamburger cookout and water served at the barbeque on the beach was kinda crappy.

I will proabably try another cruiseline next time. However, for the money you can't beat a cruise and NCL provided a very nice ship and accomodations. They need to work on the food however.
