I sailed with NCL's Sky on February 12, 2010. To my surprise, I noticed the majority of passengers were Latino (which was fine, I just thought it was a little odd that there were so many). I come to find out that a travel agent booked approx. 900 cabins for a Latino concert that was going to be held on the ship that weekend. I was a little upset only because we weren't told about this by our travel agent. Salsa music played all weekend on the ship and it got a little annoying. And can we please talk about how miserable the poor employees on this cruise ship are? Each one I talked to knew exactly how many days they have been on the ship and how many days they have left in their contract. They looked sad, angry and tired. I was talking to one employee and she mentioned that she only gets one day off every two weeks. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's close to slave labor. No wonder the staff was unfriendly, sometimes snappy and unwilling to go above and beyond for the passengers. Room service was a joke. It took close to 2 hours one night to get something from room service and when I asked for a bucket of ice they didn't even bring one to my cabin. I miss the days of stellar food and customer service on the cruise.
Unfortunately this cruise was full of cheesy marketing gimmicks to make an extra buck off of their passengers. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever take a cruise again because of my poor experience on this ship.

The food was below average. I yearn for the day where I am able to go on a cruise and eat wherever I want and not have to pay surcharges.

Staterooms were fine, although the remote control on my TV remote didn't work.

There was a lack of them. Nothing enticed me.

STAY AWAY! You're better off booking at a hotel and staying there for a few days.
