Originally built for Star Cruises as SuperStar Leo,
she was renamed and retrofitted and transferred to NCL (Star Cruises, a
Malaysian company, owns NCL) to replace the Norwegian Sky in Alaska and the
Caribbean. The Norwegian Sky was renamed the Pride of Aloha and sent to cruise
in Hawaii after the Pride of America sank at dock while she was under
construction in the Lloyd Werft shipyard. Purpose built for the 3/4 day family
cruise market in Asia, Superstar Leo was completed converted for the American
market and will cruise Alaska in the summer and the Caribbean in the winter.
