Norwegian Spirit Cruise Review

Number of Cruises: 4
Cruise Line: Norwegian
Ship: Spirit
Sailing Date: February 4th, 2005
Itinerary: Southern Caribbean

We cruised on the Norwegian Spirit, Feb 4 – 13,’05 to the southern Caribbean and had a delightful all around experience! We had read some ‘not so good reviews’ about the service and waiting in line to eat, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Also, we had never done the “freestyle eating” thing. Celebrating our 26th anniversary, we were hoping for a wonderful time. Well, the Norwegian Spirit and its crew exceeded our expectations! The boarding process was speedy and hassle free. Our bags were in our room within a couple of hours. The ship was very clean and they encouraged hand washing with sanitizer dispensers all over the ship. The food was delicious and we never had to wait to be seated. ( We are on a later schedule than some,

as we don’t eat dinner till 7 or 8-which probably helped that situation) We loved the freestyle eating plan!

Also, all the other restaurants on the ship (with the small cover charge) were outstanding. The captain was very friendly to all –it seemed we kept running into him around the ship. Our overall experience was 5 star- we will cruise with Norwegian again and especially on the Spirit! One tip I have….wait till you’re in port to do your e mailing. In each port we found an ‘Internet café’ and had 20 minutes online for about $2.00,

Compared to .75 a minute on the ship. Happy cruising!
