If you are a fan of traditional cruises with lots of personal attention, formal
dinners and wonderful cuisine this boat is NOT for you. Overall it is still
great value for money and the boat is clean and safe. We found the stateroom
size to be very good and had no problem with cabin service BUT the food and
restaurant service let the cruise line down. The basic food in the buffets and
the main dining rooms was very ordinary . The main restaurants had an attractive
menu but almost always spoiled the dish by poor presentation and or badly cooked
food (raw veggies, inedible pancakes, overcooked meat...) You could watch the
entrees in the main restaurant slowly filter through the buffet as stew, ragout,
etc. It had much of the feeling of the all you can eat buffets common in Florida
and Las Vegas. The specialty restaurants were better but still managed to
disappoint with poor service and badly cooked side dishes. Restaurant service
was mediocre throughout with the staff preferring to talk to each other rather
than attend to the diners needs . Formal nights were a joke. You feel very
overdressed wearing a tuxedo next to a guy in a fleece windbreaker and sweat
pants.
