Itinerary: Canary Island

We have sailed on other cruise lines so we are compositing this to Princess and Oceania. The initial charges on the booking were low so we tried to base our expectations on the cost as well.

The food was on the low end if average. There were several restaurants on board where you could eat for an additional $10 - $25/pp. we are still on the cruise & as of yet, have not availed ourselves of these venues. There is a included buffet and a single included restaurant. The balance are burger/fast food joints. I was surprised & disappointed at the additional food charges $21 for a 6 pack of water, $5 for pizza, another charge if room service delivers between certain hours, a charge for orange juice, $15 to bring a bottle of wine aboard.

A ocean view cabin - roomy & clean

Although there is the usual constant activity on board, the activities were not to our taste - 70's trivia, karaoke, napkin folding,.. They do have a couple of shows in the evening - magic, dance and the like. There were no movies except in cabin, and little else to differentiate them from any other line.

The Canary Island trip is pretty laid back. Some shopping, very limited adventure excursions, uninteresting architecture.
