The cruise is not bad. They dont answer to complaints so if you have some tell everybody by submiting a review. Fair entartaiment, acceptable food, good service but if you are enabled dont take the shore excursions

The food is good but not to be excited waiting for the dinner. The buffet is very crowded and unpleaseant and the breakfeast at the restaurant is poor

No complaints about the staeroom. The cleaning service was excellent

Good entartaiment but for a 14 night cruise to much of the same

IF YOU ARE DISABLED DON'T USE THE SHORE EXCURSION SERVICES OF NCL
We are a couple 70 and 68 years old with serious foot problems. We took the cruise to South America and booked all, by one, shore excursions with the cruise company. One of the excursions was a horrible experience and all because the indifference of the ship crew to our problem.
At February 21 2010 the ship arrived to Ushuaia. The trip we took was “Siera del Fuegoâ The trip has two parts: A bus trip to the park then transfer to a catamaran to see the wild life of the Beagle channel.
A day before, we explained to the lady in charge at the shore excursions desk, that we are disabled and the trip has to be as easy as possible for us so we will have to walk as little as possible. We could begin the trip with the catamaran and end it by bus or the opposite. The transfer from the catamaran to the bus is shorter and without steps than the transfer from the bus to catamaran. More than that , the catamaran was docked 30m from the ship. According to those details known by the shore excursion team we should begin the trip with the catamaran.
We arrived to the meeting point on the ship and asked for a wheelchair to take my wife to the shore. After three calls to the front desk and waiting of 15 minutes the wheelchair arrived. The shore excursion team did nothing to avoid the delay of our disembarking. They didn't make the catamaran to wait for us and when we got off the ship the catamaran began to move.
We begun the trip with the bus. The excursion guide didn't allow us to get from the bus to the catamaran via the short path so we had to go around climbing steps up and down. The catamaran docked one km from the ship and two disabled people had to walk this long distance without any help.
Coming back to the ship we placed a written complain. We were promised that the shore excursion director will speak with us during the cruise. It did not happen.
After the cruise ended we were asked by NCL to fill a survey file which we did. We described again our experience and no answer.
Before posting the review we send it by fax to NCL and still no answer.
Not only the team did nothing to help us the NCL authorities didn't find the time to react to the event.
We decided to share our experience with other potential disabled clients of the shore excursion services at NCL .




If you are enabled dont take the NCL shore excursions. If you have a complaint dont address it to NCL they will never answer. The boarding at Valparaiso Chile a very easy experience. In less than an hour we were in the stateroom. The ship is clean the service is good and the food is acceptable. The main buffet restaurant is crowded and unpleasent, the entarteiment is sometimes boring, the stateroom is nice and very clean, the ship is old but in good condition. As we like shore excursions we will never take the NCL cruises (may be for crossing the Atlantic)
