Mayhem on the Sun

Posted On: 28th Jan 2011 This ship was due for a service but NCL kept it in service. A day out the Carribaean and the propulsion system broke. They told us we were not going to the destination set. They took us to SAMRA in the Dominican, dead dogs and waste in the streets, unable to swim in the water due to human waste. The last visit was to NCL's own Island which at the time was a building site, so didnt hang around there either.

There was very vocal demonstrations on the ship througout the cruise. NCL offered 405 discount on next cruise which is ok if you live in the States and only paid a few hundred dollars for the same trip we paid thousands for. It would take years to save up again so they have offered nothing. Evidently this is a regular occurence with NCL ships, do yourself a favour. Also Cruise Club UK was next to useless in trying to settle the matter.

You cannot plan as you dont know if the NCL ships will arrive at the destination.

They say their terms and conditions state they can more or less take you anywhere they want.
