Itinerary: Western Caribbean

We have sailed on Royal Caribbean once and we had very high expectations for this trip.  The airport situation was ok.  On rcl, the baggage was sent to our rooms, and on norwegian, we had to claim them and walk them there.  That's ok, so we got to the ship and all I have to say is WOW! From the outside, it was beautiful.  We got in and I was very disappointed in the lobby....you can even say there was no lobby.  It was ugly, small, and not too clean.  On rcl, the lobby was stunning.

So we got to our room and it was great...very roomy and very clean with a great view.  We were very hungry so we got a bite to eat in the sports bar and i could have been sick.  It is really bad!  The food in the dining room was pretty good though.  Lunch wasn't that great where breakfast and dinner was pretty good.  The casino was rather nice, but small.

The staff was nice, but didn't seem to want to pamper you like most cruise lines.  Our waiter---"Rosel" was fantastic! I recommend you ask for his table.  The steward was always very fast and great!  The overall ports of call were pretty good, but could be better.  The entertainment on the ship was pretty good as well as the cruise director.

The big award has to go to the assistant cruise director who really should be the Cruise director.  He was funny, charming, and just very social.  I would recommend this cruise to first time cruisers especially, but we had a fantastic time! This may have sounded like a bad cruise, but these were just little things that bothered me.  You will enjoy Norwegian Cruise Line.  Happy Cruising!!!
