We sailed the Norwegian Pearl with friends for our 25th anniversary. I thought the ship was beautiful, albeit "out there," the entertainment was enjoyable, staff very friendly and the excursions wonderful (even though one was canceled due to weather). I would definitely sail the Pearl again.
Food for the most part was good. I have yet to experience great food on any cruise line every day of the cruise, and that includes Crystal and Celebrity. So I would say the food is good.
Our stateroom was very comfortable and nice. We had a category BA Balcony stateroom and we enjoyed spending time there.
There is a bowling alley, rock climbing wall, pools and hot tubs. We didn't get into too much of the activities other than the shows so can't speak to that. But there certainly seemed to have plenty to do from looking at the daily calendar. The one area that I think stands out is their spa. They have a thermal/hydrotherapy area which is great!
Unfortunately our helicopter ride to the glacier was canceled due to weather. But we thoroughly enjoyed the train ride to White Pass in Skagway and the lumberjack show in Ketchican. The towns are quaint and fun to walk around.
Overall, this was a great trip. The scenery is spectacular in Alaska, we were with good friends on a beautiful ship, with staff who always seemed to have a smile on their faces. I highly recommend the Pearl.
