Itinerary: Hawaiian islands
I recently returned from the inaugural cruise of the Pride of Aloha. The
itinerary was fantastic. One and a half days in Kauai. One day in Kona, Hawaii.
One day in Hilo, Hawaii, and two days in Maui. That is the reason I chose this
ship and this cruise. I wanted to see all four islands at a reasonable price
($799.00). I would have paid almost this much just to get to four islands with
air transportation. The ship was beautiful. The food was acceptable. It was not
5 * quality food, and neither was the service. If you are looking for a gourmet
food spread 24 hours a day, this is NOT the cruise for you. If you are looking
for fun on four of the Hawaiian islands and using the ship for food and lodging,
this is the cruise for you. I found my fun on the excursions (which I booked
mostly on my own since NCL charged exhorbitant prices for the same excursions).
The entertainment was okay. I questioned a couple of the shows as they were not
family entertainment, especially the "Mr. Producer" production where girls were
running around in panties and bras doing dirty dancing moves, and the one singer
was singing about "tits" and "party from hell". Not my idea of entertainment.
Overall, the crew needs to get some things together, but this was the inaugural
cruise and I expect they will get better at their job. It was well worth the
money to me as I enjoyed the islands and getting to see all four islands for
such a reasonable price.
