Pride of Aloha Cruise Review
Hawaii
Ileen Swelland
This was our first cruise and our first trip to the islands of Hawaii. We
enjoyed every minute of the trip. We were met at the airport and after
delivering our luggage to the bus, we got to the ship and checked in with no
trouble at all. We found our room and we were pleased with the accommodations.
It had a nice closet and the bathroom was all that was needed. We had a room
with a balcony and the only complaint was that smokers had been in the room and
it was still smelly from smoke. We talked to our room steward and she came by to
spray a couple times and it got better and leaving the door open helped. We
enjoyed the Longboard very much and the Sports Trivia each day at 4:30 was fun.
Ask for Ryan--he's a riot. We also ate in The Crossings and had a good meal each
time. The Lanai up on the 11th deck was good for breakfast and a nice view. We
enjoyed Hilo and Kona the most. If you want a good tour in Hilo--ask for Stanley
at Swan Tours. We took the tour to the Volcano, Rainbow Falls and the Macadamia
nut plant. He would have stopped other places but we had been to most other
stops. He was a good tour guide. We enjoyed the Luau--the sunset was gorgeous.
We took the Fern Grotto tour in Kauai and enjoyed it. We also did the Lahainna
on your Own tour and that is not to be missed. Make sure you see the Banyan
Tree.
It was our first cruise and first trip to Hawaii and we were not dissappointed.
We will definitely go back.
