Pride of Aloha Cruise Review
Hawaii
Sharon Harrison
We were pleasantly surprised with our most recent cruise. I had read disturbing
reports of other cruisers concerning this cruise. My husband and I have wanted
to visit Hawaii for sometime and just decided we would go and enjoy the islands
and not expect pampering. To our surprise we found that for the most part, the
service was good and the staff very friendly. The Captain's party was a real
treat. We ate early and did not have to wait long. The last night of our cruise
we were late getting to dinner and did wait a long time, so my advice is to dine
early. It was so neat that the captain turned the ship so the passengers could
view the lava flow of the volcano at night, it is quite a sight! One of the
highlights of our trip was going on a tour of Kaui with a man named Eduardo
Valencia. We found him on the web at his website http://www.tresbros.com. He
really went the extra mile and gave us such a great history of the island and
took us to so many beautiful places that the ships tours did not. I would also
recommend renting a car and driving the road to Hana on Maui. It is really a WOW
and the road has been re-done and is not bad to drive. It is so beautiful!
Our room was smaller than we were used to but was always kept clean and well
serviced. We used the hand sanitizers each time before dining and were not aware
of any illnesses on the ship. I think this is a great way to visit the islands
of Hawaii.
