Pride of America
Inaugurated during the summer of 2005 after an incident where the ship actually sank during construction. The Pride of America was made from the hull of former U.S. Cruise Lines (American Hawaii Cruises and others) that went bankrupt shortly after 9/11. She is unique in design and will serve the Hawaiian Islands year around offering a 7-day, 4-island itinerary. The Pride of America is the first U.S. flagged ship in over a half of a century and features and American crew.

Good shoulder season price ($650 balcony) encouraged us to book the Pride. This was probably the most exhausting cruise, since we were in Port every day, and up and off the ship by 8a to get our...read more

We were skeptical having cruised once before with NCL. When you think that things couldn't be worse the Pride of America made NCL's Jewel into a real Jewel. The staff was rude, one waiter even...read more

Two ladies off to Hawaii! I have cruised on two NCL cruises before and am sold on Freestyle cruising. I am no longer interested in having to dress up, assigned dinner table or time or the...read more

We were skeptical upon reading some of the reviews. We usually stay at Four Seasons Resorts, but since we did an entire family cruise(13 of us), we decided to try this one. Boy, did we have a...read more
