This was the first cruise that my husband and I had ever done. As it was our 35th Wedding Anniversary we
decided that we wanted something that would be memorable, something that we had never done before. After a nine hour flight we were met at the airport and taken to our Accommodation, were we could unwind for two days
and enjoy some of the sights of Waikiki before we boarded the Pride of America. We were amazed at how quickly we were processed and on board the Ship. My Husband having suffered a work related injury causing paralysis of the right leg found it very easy to move around the ship on all occasions. The help that was offered to him by all the staff was first class.

We really enjoyed the flexibility of Freestyle cruising and enjoyed the food. There was always and abundance of
everything .. except for TEA... which we Australians really like...there was always plenty of COFFEE .. but had to hunt for the old tea bag. We dined at three of the other restaurants and found them to be of a high standard.

We loved our Stateroom and took advantage of sitting outside on the balcony as much as we could.. with our wine, cheese and biscuits. We were in awe of the magesty of these Islands. Our stateroom was always clean and tidy. Each time we went out on a excursion we would come back and find our towels in the shape of a dog, flower etc... there would always be ice / icewater there for us and the bathroom was always spotless.

We took part in the Hula classes, the lae making classes and the Trivia quizes .. as many activities that my husband could participate in. We found that there was plenty to keep you going at all times. The cabaret was
great. We enjoyed the inter-action with the staff at all times. Walking around the ship and having staff saying hello to us by our names made us feel great ..

We read all the reviews before we went and found it was about 50/50.. but we were excited to go and decided that
this cruise would be what we made of it. We enjoyed every excursion that we went on and would not hesitate in
telling any one to take this cruise. We saw more and learnt more by seeing Hawaii this way. The tour bus drivers, where very informative and made each day a pleasure.. Their knowledge was second to none and we laughed and joked all the time we were in their company. In the end sad to say good bye to them at what were just great days.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our time aboard the Pride of America so much so that we have now booked our next trip 21days around the Mediterranean in 2011. We found the staff friendly and accommodating, the food great, the excursions Fantastic .. We had a great time ... and For our 35th Anniversary we were given a diner and a lovely gift bag from the staff... we had a wonderful time and met some wonderful people and look forward to our next cruise in 2011.
