Well what can I say except Hawaii was amazing and the ship was horrible. This wasn't my first cruise and I have 2 other cruise lines to compare with. This wasn't a cheap or discount cruise. This cost more than any other cruise I've done and I'm not a cheap person. We had a, very small, balcony room and thank the lord for the balcony or I would have been claustrophobic. The drawers sliders didn't work and it hurt my back every time i had to open or close one. There was a mildew smell in certain areas of the room. The bathroom was clean but very very small. I feel sorry for any large person taking a shower. It was very difficult to move around in. My motorhome had a larger shower. The decore was awful. The buffet food was very common and boring. They had pretty much the same thing everyday. There was a barbeque the last day that was good. The sit down dining room was good and the service was pleasant. If you want really good food you have to pay extra at the premium restaurants. The attitude at the buffet from the officers was absolutely inexcusable. They were rude and nasty to the passangers, including me without reason.. I was waiting quietly to get oatmeal, and they dressed down the other workers in front of passengers. It was obvious that they were all unhappy. Our room stewart did the best job he could and was nice but always looked unhappy. It was 2 days before we even saw him. I left notes if we needed something. The excursions and their staff members were excellent. NCL does do a great job with that. The cruise line automatically charges $12 a day per person for service. I wonder if the workers even get the money. We found out they work 7 days a week for 6 months then get 5 weeks of without pay. They do get overtime. Good thing the US has labor laws. There was a GI bug that went around the ship, I'm not blaming NCL for that, but they lied to the passengers about it the first day of the restrictions. The passangers aren't stupid, just tell the truth. Overall I give the ship and the crew a very sad and poor rating. I was very suprised to find out the ship is only 5 yrs old it seemed and looked much older
