Very disappointed with this cruise. After sevreal cruises with other lines in the Caribbean and Europe we really looked forward to Hawaii and flet that NCL would be a good option, allowing us to see Hawaii and also avoid the long crossing from US west coast. We were disappointed in most aspects of the cruise. If you want to see Hawaii, pick one or two of the islands and plan and land visit. Seeing it by cruise ship, and in particular with NCL, is NOT the way to do it.. This cruise had the lowest level of on board activities and entertainment of any cruise we have been on. We have cruised with Celebrity, RCL, Princess, Holland America and even a Carnival to see some Ports we wanted to get to. NCL was clearly bottom of the list. Never again.

The food was ok. Service was generally pleasant. Some minor issues, but staff seemed interested in keeping guests happy.

Very samll, and we are experienced cruisers. Smallest cabins we have seen in a long time, and not very well laid out.

Virtually non-existent. Totally different from the Caribbean cruise experience. Cruise director and staff virtuall invisible. Entertainment was very poor. No staging for the shows. 3 Second City shows. How many times can you watch Improv?? The cruise director singiong (badly) was one of the featured shows. Entertainment has been an enjoyable part of past cruises on other lines, especially Celebriity and RCL. NCL's was terrible. The only worthwhile show was a takeoff on Frankie Valli.

Forget the Luau on Kuai. Expensive, crusie staff were working at the "authentic" luau. Very average buffet style food. Save your money. Rent a car in Kahlui (Maui) and Hilo (BBig Island). The rental car companies meet the ship and shuttle you to the rental car compounds. Very easy and convenient. Tour the islands for a fraction of the cost of the ship's tours. Nothing in the cruise info tells you how easy it is (They want to sell their excursions). Book the rental cars online for better rates than you can get as a walk in.

Save your money and do not take this cruise. If you want to see Hawaii, go to one or two of the islands. We enjoyed Honolulu before the cruise. Stayed at the Outrigger Beach hotel in Waikiki - great place, on the beach, great bars and restaurants, great shopping. Pearl Harbor tours were very good. See the submarine. Worth the extra time. Then pick another risland.
