I would not recommend a cruise on the Pride of America. Balcony rooms small, food and entertainment, just OK.

We had hot water one out of seven days, and called numerous times to complain. We were offered a key to another room or the spa to take our showers. I did not book a cruise to roam the halls to take a shower. Then we were offered a dinner for two, which we declined, then the Captain (as we were told) sent a bottle of wine and a fruit platter, then the head Mucky Mucks from Guest Services and Housekeeping came by after I requested a copy of the telephone log of complaints, and a copy of the work orders to fix the hot water problem. The Guest Services representative wanted to give us a lesson on turning on the hot water faucet, as I replied, I know how to turn on the water. And we were told, depending on how long the hot water was off, would depend if and how much compensation we would get. I paid over $3,500.00 including airfare, and was compensated $200.00......not nearly enough to erase the bad memories of the cruise. I definitely will research future reviews on any cruise line in the future.

Food was not great......the buffet was like a stampede.....the food in the Skyline was OK.

Small for a balcony stateroom.....had to ask housekeeping to come back to clean an area that was not cleaned.

Not much to write home about when it comes to the onboard activities.....need more.

It would have been great if the cruise staff would have moved us to another comparable room which had hot water. Such a waste of my money on the Pride of America.......the excursions were nice. Most of the staff were young Americans with a "whatever" attitude, like they were doing us a favor.
