I will probably not cruise again after the
experience I had on this one. My husband and I arrived in our state room-I'll
just briefly list the problems from there:
not enough
room to move around in--we had to wait for one to leave the bathroom and get to
the balcony area before the other could get by or climb over the bed--(we are
average sized, healthy and limber people) so when the description on the website
states square footage may vary--believe me--they put that there so they can put
you in a cracker box. (trapped at sea)
Room was
dirty--bloody stain on comforter.
old water in
ice bucket when we arrived
refrigerator
filthy inside and out----
glass door to
balcony and all mirrors spotted with something and fingerprints all over them.
one trash
can--no trash can liners--ever---day after day-(pretty sure this wasn't
sanitized either)
housekeeper
did not speak English--kept leaving decaf coffee--had to explain to her 2 times
with package in hand that we did not want decaf. communicated mostly by showing
her with hand motions what to do--would have cleaned it myself, but they don't
sell clorox clean-ups on the ship
toilets stink-everytime
you flush them.
if you hold
your arms up above your head to shampoo your hair--elbows will be bruised from
hitting the shower.
the ship stunk
while in port---sewer gasses--very strong---if you were on the deck---it was not
tolerable.
bars closed at
different times, sometimes for a meeting, party, whatever--you could just walk
to the bar area to sit or meet family--it would be closed, no signs/ nothing.
the tour bus
driver that helped drive us to the 95$ per person luau--well she was not glad to
have the mainlanders there--when a group of us (about a dozen people and one man
in a wheelchair) gathered at the buses prior to the luau being over and ask if
we could get on one of the buses and sit down, she told one of the other
drivers, "let them on there, close the door and then turn off the air
conditioner."
One thing for sure is that this is not a 100%
ENGLISH SPEAKING CREW----unless it involves the exchange of money--those people
understood English very well.
Poor service everywhere--these people act
like they don't need your business and don't need this job.
We will not use this line again and will probably visit the Hawaiian Islands by
plane if ever we decide to grace the Hawaiian's with our presence!
