After a nine hour flight from Houston, it took over 90 min to check-in, due to computer problems. It was not a good start for my first, and probably only, cruise - the one I had always wanted. The food in the Aloha Room was very good, but could use trays for the older travellers.
All three restaurants we paid to eat in were not worth the extra money, just to sit down and be served.
In pay to eat restaurants, I never had a quality meal.
For some reason, we were given a handicapped room. No complaints about the size, but others who booked balcony rooms, were very small. We were with a group of 50 and I heard that many could have used the larger shower stalls.
Since we booked private shore excursions ourselves for the whole week, we used little of the onboard activities. There did seem to be a variety of them, however.
I don't think that the crew members we met could have been any more friendly. They all seemed to go out of their way to please.
I did enjoy the trip. The views were everything I had hoped for and with over 600 pictures, I have more memories to gaze at than I will ever tire of.
