Let me tell you this was one of the most enjoyable vacations I ever had. Getting on the boat was a breeze and as soon as we stepped on the ship a the very nice cruise staff showed us to our cabin and said lunch was being served if we were interested. First we set up our on board account and then our shore excursions which took about a half hour.
Let's cruise. The staff was some of the friendliest people I have ever met in my life. There was an instance where the air conditioning went out on our floor for a few hours and the staff worked diligently to get it fixed. There were some very rude passengers that treated the help with absolutely no respect because of the problem while it wasn't even their fault. Hey the way I figure it we are on cruise with tons of activities get out of your room and enjoy the cruise.
Dining was great. We ate at the Seven Seas dining room two nights. The service was great. The food was good if you enjoy what I call ritzy dining. You know three forks, two knives etz. I might be a hillbilly but just give me a knife and a fork and I am good to go. My girlfriend and I did enjoy the poolside barbecue where there served Steak, boneless chicken breast, and ribs. Now that is some eating. They also had a taco bar and a huge desert table.
The shore excursions they offered were great. I recommend the sting ray encounter in the Grand Cayman. That was the neatest thing I have ever experienced. You actually swim, feed and can pick up the sting rays in their natural habitat.
In conclusion I just want to say the Norwegian Sea may not be the biggest boat or the nicest but the staff, food, and activities they offer makes this cruise well worth the money.
