Originally launched in 1988 for Royal Cruise Line, this handsome vessel was taken over by Norwegian Cruise Line in 1996. After four years under the NCL flag, she was transferred to sister company Orient Lines in 2000. Constructed as a long-distance cruiser, she is an ideal ship for that company.

Excerpts from Orient Lines' Website The Crown Odyssey is a dazzling, 1000-passenger ship as regal as her name implies. Built for worldwide cruising, she is small enough to enter intimate ports, yet large enough to offer every luxury. Her staterooms are spacious and most boast huge picture windows. And the sparkling array of public rooms feature such gems as the 10-story high Top of the Crown lounge with its panoramic 360 degree views.
