Caribbean Princess Cruise Review

Princess
Caribbean Princess
Eastern Caribbean

Shana

Age: 29
Occupation:
Number of Cruises: 3
Sailing Date: October 10th, 2005

I went with my boyfriend and another couple and we all had a excellent time. I have sailed with Royal Caribbean and Carnival in the past. There were some things that I really liked about RCCL and some things that I really liked about Princess and there is nothing I liked about Carnival. The Caribbean Princess had wonderful public areas but some of the rooms were a little bland. The food was pretty good, some dishes better than others but I think the same is true for RCCL. The deserts were definitely a hit every time. I usually hate buffet food but we found the food in the buffet to actually be a bit better than the dining rooms.

The staff was very friendly and I don't know how people could write such horrible reviews. I was a bit hesitant to go on this ship due to some comments but now I see that some people just love to complain and will never be happy. Its vacation enjoy it!

Do NOT miss the following if you go on this ship

The Magic Comedian (Best performance on board not to mention best comedian I have ever seen)

The Hypnotist

Carribe Calliente (excellent show)

The International Show

I would of really liked this cruise better if there was one more port added to the itinerary. The Princess cays were a little disappointing to me just because I would of preferred something a little quieter and not so commercialized. I still had a wonderful time.

The biggest tip I would give about this cruise is when you arrive at port on the islands make sure you do something! So many people go shopping...yes its fun to shop but one hour will do...all of the stores are the same. We went snorkeling on the French side in st martin if we hadn't done that we would of been very disappointed. It was so beautiful on Orient beach...do NOT miss. Remember the port is just where they drop you off IT IS NOT the most beautiful part of the island. So rent scooters or arrange for a excursion (remember you don't have to go through the cruise line and normally you can find a much cheaper excursion right off the ship) Whatever you do get out there and explore you will be very happy if you do!
