Number of Cruises: 18
Sailing Date: October 15th, 2005
This was my our 18th cruise. We have been on many other cruise lines. We just
choose the Caribbean Princess because of the time and the nearest port to us in
Indiana.
We arrived late so it was easy on. We were Captain Culb members so it would have
been fairly easy on board I thought if we would have been earlier.
Overall thoughts on the crusie were:
Service was good considering the number of persons on board.
Food was not as good as years past but was OK.
My wife and I thought the entertainment was as good as any cruise in the past.
The cruise staff was excellent. They worked their hearts out to keep passengers
busy and entertained.
The pizza and the hamburger, hotdogs were about the same as all the ships we
have sailed.
We opted for the Anytime Dining as in the past and we waited for a table for two
only 15 minutes one time. If we had wanted to share a table we would never had
to wait. This was an improvment from the past where the dining room staff openly
tried to discourage us from trying to get a table for two. Sitting with other
people for three meals a day for seven days telling where you are from and what
you do gets old fast. (for you first time cruisers)
We thought for the price Princess does its best with the number of people aboard
these super modern ships. Its apparent that the service and quality that we used
to have is gone, unless you wish to pay alot more money for the much higher
priced cruises. If you are willing to pay the money you can get a ship with much
less people and alot more service.
Leaving the ship on return is always a mess on every cruise line. We were off
the ship by around 9:30am. which we thought was not to bad. For those of you who
want off earlier remember you couldn't even check your luggage at the aiport
until 4 hour prior to your departure.
Overall, we think for the price the Caribbean Princess gave us a very nice week
of food and entertainment. Thanks to the entir staff of the ship for a nice
week.
