This was our second cruise, both on Princess. After an un-eventful red eye flight from Vegas to Fort Lauderdale we were anxious to get aboard the 3100 passenger mega-ship! Yes, it was crowded in some areas, especially the a.m. buffet, and pools, but not to the extent of being miserable. It's a beautiful ship, clean and well maintained, classy in most respects. We had a beautiful mini-suite on dolphin deck, nine. The extra space is well worth the money, in our opinion.

Please be aware the dolphin deck is un-covered from your neighbors above. We also enjoyed the extra space in the bathroom, with tub in the mini-suite. Our cabin steward was very attentive, and for the most part the ships staff does their best to accommodate you. You may want to bring your own mini coffee maker for your room, also a bottle opener. The ships coffee is not that good, and its nice to have a good cup of coffee, out on your balcony in the mornings. We purchased some beers for our room, and had to call our steward every time, for there is no opener in the rooms.

The food was pretty good most of the time, although the steaks were over cooked, and dry! We think they were previously frozen? Also, the salmon was overcooked, and dry. The side dishes were always good, and you can always ask for something else if a particular item, is not to your liking. We were a little disappointed, there was not more seafood items on the menu. The caribe buffet was nice for a different dinner theme nightly. For a delicious lunch, or snack, try the pizza, and burger bar, out by the main pool, extra good! Anytime dining is a great choice, especially if your active, and like to party at night.

Princess offers a lot of different evening activities, and you may want to indulge in the nightlife. We really enjoyed the karaoke competition in club Fusion, that was the fun place for us! Lots of fun things happening there, from 50s party, to dancing etc.The main shows in Princess theatre were very good, with great singing, and dancing. Get there early, especially for the first show, it's crowded. The "Movies Under The Stars", outside is spectacular!!! Princess really has the competition beat, on this. All cruise lines should take note!

We really enjoyed the ports, and great climate in the western Caribbean. The seas were calm all seven days. Princess Cays in the Bahamas was terrific, great beaches, and excellent snorkeling.Ocho Rios, in Jamaica is gorgeous, especially the Duns river falls, a must see. Unfortunately the Jamaicans need a good lesson in manners. They can become a bit rude, and nasty, if you don't buy anything from them, stay together!

Grand Cayman was just the opposite, very nice people, and appreciative of you. Don't miss the swimming with the stingrays, un-believable!

Cozumel was beautiful, we took a private party barge over to a secluded beach for the day, great watersports, and shopping deals.

This was a spectacular cruise with tons of things to do, and see. The more you are involved, the more fun you will have, especially if you participate. The crew on this particular ship really gives it's all, to make whatever your doing fun, and it shows. So much to see, and do you really need a road map, so you wont miss out. Read the daily Princess Patter, that will definitely help you plan your day, and night. You know you can find problems, and disappointments on any cruise line. It's all in your attitude. Don't sweat the small stuff, prepare, plan, and go with the flow. You will be much happier, and enjoy your cruise even more, I know I did! "Cruise to cure the blues". Next stop, Hawaii, April,07 on the Island Princess Aloha!
