First off I would just like to say that this was the first cruise that my
family and I took. There is no complaints with anything, the cruise was
excellent! The food and services were all great! The staff in every area
of the boat was helpful, interesting with stories and comments, and
overall you could tell they were happy with their job. The only issue that
others may have a problem with is the waiting time when we arrived outside
the ship, waiting to check into the ship. This was in San Juan and we
waited for a while, in humid and hot weather, in order for them to space
their customers out when checking them onto the ship. On all the islands
the people living there and the tour guides were all very informative to
us visitors. Our experience was not very great with Barbados. Our tour
guide was not pleasant and the island was not particulary our favorite. My
family and I took my tours, which I would recommend because it gives you
an opportunity to ask questions and see what is on the island available to
tourists. I reccomend the Jolly Roger, on either island is its available,
if you want to have fun, see the island, and drink a lot of rum punch! We
also participated in snorkeling. Your experience will vary with which
island you go to, just be aware that salt water is really wicked!
Other than that, the cruise was great. There was constantly things to do
on the ship to keep you busy. Again everyone working on the ship tried
their hardest to make it an enjoyable experience for all their customers.
My final comment is that the cruise that we booked wasn't long enough for
us. At the end, we had wished that we had booked a longer cruise to enjoy.
We have already booked another cruise with Princess for the upcoming year!
Thank you to Princess and all the staff on the Golden Princess for making
our vacation one of the best.
