Itinerary: New England/Canada
This was our first cruise with Princess. We drove to NY and parked in the lot
above the terminal owned by the city. It was expensive, but worked for us.
Arriving the police were very helpful, as my husband is in a wheelchair. They
helped get him out of the car and took him in to the terminal while another
officer assisted me with the luggage. I then parked the car.
Check in was a little hectic, but a port official came over and took us to the
head of the line. The staff were helpful, we got our ID cards and were in our
room in less than 30 minutes.
We had a balcony cabin, very clear, nicely laid out, even room for the
wheelchair. (there were no handicap cabins available) We needed a table removed
and a bench for the shower. Our cabin stewart took care of it. He was fantastic
the entire trip!
We enjoyed the choice seating. Never had a problem, called in advance for a
reservation. I can't say enough great things about the staff. They were so
accommodating, even going so far as to cut my husband's steak when they noticed
I was doing it.
The food was very good, of course there were things we didn't like, but overall,
we were very pleased. We enjoyed speaking with the waiters and hearing about
their home and country.
The tours were very good and well organized, though a bit pricey. I still
enjoyed all of them.
This is a cruise I would take again.
Embarking was smooth and well organized.
We thoroughly enjoyed this cruise and look forward to traveling with Princess
again.
